Description

The Hobart 498344-0000A Pilot Gas Safety Valve Kit has 1/4" FPT gas attachments and 1/8" FPT pilot ports, and is a control element intended to be used with commercial cooking appliances. It does this by controlling the passage of gas to both the pilot and main burner, where gas only passes when a steady pilot flame is detected through the thermocouple. In case the pilot flame is turned off, the valve is also turned off to avoid the leakage or inconvenient situations. It is installed as part of the appliance system and operates together with ignition and sensing parts to ensure secure start up.
