Description

The Groen 97005 Steam Safety Relief Valve limits excessive internal vapor conditions by creating a temporary venting path whenever the calibrated setting is exceeded. Steam acts against the internal regulating assembly, causing the sealing member to lift until the accumulated condition is relieved, after which the passage closes automatically. The 1/2" NPT standards identifies the threaded connection, while chrome specifies the exterior finish applied to the assembly. Every opening event is determined by the calibrated mechanism rather than continuous venting.
