The Atlas 22-1397 Cooling Thermostat is used to control the temperature of refrigeration systems by detecting the amount of heat present inside the system, and turning the compressor on or off based on the temperature. It reacts to changes in temperature in order to have a steady cooling cycle to ensure that the appliance works within a given range. This thermostat is designed to be mounted directly into the inside of the cabinet or on the cooling coil, and is then connected to the electrical control system to regulate the compressor and fan operation.
