The long distance enables the signal to pass continuously over the connection. The appliance has this extension that runs between the thermocouple and the control valve. It allows it to be installed flexibly in commercial cooking equipment. The fitting ends can be fitted onto ensure continuity in the temperature sensing circuit during the operation of the burner.
