The Keating 008360 Fuse SC-5 5A 600V is used to protect electric circuits by breaking the current flow when it surpasses 5 amps to avoid possible harm to the components that are connected to it. It works by holding a metal filament which melts once the current exceeds the rated capacity and then breaks the circuit halting the flow of electricity. It can be installed in standard fuse slots and is well aligned and connected as well as fitting smoothly into commercial or residential electrical systems.
