The Southbend 1195500 Brass Hood Orifice #70 3/8 inch-27 x 1/2 inch regulates the supply of gas to a burner by limiting the supply of fuel through a precisely sized opening prior to entering the combustion chamber and assists in setting the appropriate flame properties in that application. The gas flows through the calibrated passage of the orifice that controls the volume of delivery at a certain pressure. It fits in the gas train at the burner or hood assembly of compatible equipment where the 3/8"-27 inlet and 1/2 height specification coincide.
