The Wood Stone 70PL-0001-NG Ignitor Sensor detects the presence of a flame to start and keep the burners running. It works by relaying an electrical signal to the control system when the pilot or main flame is detected and allowing the gas flow to persist and terminating it if no flame is detected. This is located close to the burner assembly and is installed in a way that it can observe the ignition area and linked to the control circuitry as a component of the ignition system of the appliance.
