Southbend SOU1178341 Timer

The Southbend SOU1178341 Steamer Timer regulates timed electrical shutdowns within commercial equipment by controlling how long power is supplied to the heating circuit. Its dial mechanism advances through a measured rotation that aligns to a preset interval, producing a timed switching event at the end of the cycle. Electrical contacts inside the assembly open and close based on mechanical position rather than electronic sensing. This movement-driven switching alters current flow to the vessel's heating elements and signaling components. Time progression is converted into mechanical position change, which determines activation and cut-off conduct in the cooking process.
