Description

The Franklin Chef 142442 Brass Hood Orifice #72 3/8 inch-27 by 1/2 inch regulates the flow of gas to a burner by creating an opening of the correct size that limits the gas prior to entering the area of combustion of the burner, and assists in establishing the correct flame size in that application. Gas goes through the orifice with the calibrated hole to maintain the volume of gas at a specific pressure to be burnt properly. It is mounted in the gas train, either at the burner assembly of compatible cooking equipment.
