The Star Mfg 2E-Z21556 Infinite Switch 15A 120V is used to regulate the amount of heat generated by changing the amount of electrical resistance in the circuit as the knob is turned, allowing the connected heating element to be fed with either more or less current. It operates by changing internal contacts and the resistive paths to change the amount of power sent to the element providing a spectrum of settings as opposed to discrete steps so that the shaft is aligned with the heat or power selection knob. It is the same size and design as regular panel openings.
