The Star Mfg 2J-80504-04 Thermopile is a temperature sensor used to convert heat in electrical voltage to be used in gas control circuits. It is fitted with two leads and a 36-inch length to give millivolt results between 250 and 750 mV to facilitate flame detection and safety applications. It is installed close to the pilot assembly and measures the conditions of the burner, and provides the control valve with energy. This thermopile is essential in ensuring a steady and safe operation of the appliances.
