The Jade Range 4623700000 Range LP Pilot Orifice works by limiting the amount of liquid propane that passes through a certain calibrated volume of gas required to maintain a steady pilot flame. This component directs the pressurized air via a tiny hole to sustain the required ignition source to the main burners. The opening is placed in the ignition light assembly, and it is threaded directly into the fuel supply line and above the heater head. This is a brass fitting that makes sure that the fuel-to-air ratio is appropriate to maintain constant combustion.
