The Garland 4518817 1980 Oven Thermocouple 18' 2030mV Series is a thermo-sensing unit that produces a small millivoltage signal based on the amount of heat at the sensing tip. The voltage signal is sent to the control system, which in turn interprets the signal to control the burner operation or safety circuits. It is applied in ovens where precise temperature feedback is required whilst returning to the controller. The operator is mounted in such a way that the sensing tip is open to the oven atmosphere, and it becomes a part of the temperature feedback loop of the system.
