The Groen 008153 Spark Ignition Module operates by receiving a 24-volt input signal through a control circuit and converting it into a high-voltage pulse that initiates combustion in compatible equipment ignition systems. An attached cable with a 1/4" tab connector carries the ignition output to the electrode, timing spark generation with the control circuit to light burners during automated start-up cycles and ignition sequences. It is usually mounted with commercial cooking equipment control housing using burner assembly compartments designed for ignition systems, and allows integration into ignition control layouts within equipment assemblies.
