Oven Pilot Light

An oven pilot light consists of a tiny flame that is constantly lit inside the oven to ignite the gas. This flame is the source of heat for the oven and is necessary for the oven to function properly. In most cases, a gas oven pilot light is turned on manually by twisting a valve and lighting the flame with a lighter. It is often situated close to the gas burner at the bottom of the oven.

If the oven pilot light goes out, the oven will not function properly and will not heat up. In this case, the pilot light will need to be relit to restore the function of the oven. This can be done by turning off the gas supply to the oven, locating the pilot light, and then turning the valve to allow gas to flow to the pilot light. 

The flame can then be relit using a lighter, and the gas supply should be turned back on once the pilot light is lit and burning steadily. It is important to follow the manufacturer's instructions when relighting the oven pilot light and to exercise caution when working with gas.
