The Market Forge 08-6468 Oven Glass Fuse is used to interrupt the electrical circuit when it becomes overloaded, and the control components. A metal component fuses in the transparent glass casing as a result of excessive current to prevent destruction. This fuse is fitted in a special holder of the control panel or wiring section of the oven. It is constructed of glass that enables one to visually check whether the element has opened or not. The blown fuse is disconnected and a replacement of the same type is done when the element has melted.
