The Groen 097009 Safety Relief Valve releases pressure automatically when the system reaches 30 PSI, allowing excess pressure to discharge through the unit before returning to its closed position as pressure decreases. Featuring a 1/2-inch MPT x 1/2-inch FPT connection, it operates with an internal spring-loaded mechanism that responds to pressure changes within the connected system. The valve is installed on compatible commercial steam cooking equipment, where it threads into the pressure system as part of the safety assembly. Its configuration allows integration with surrounding steam and pressure control components during normal operation.
