The Hobart 104329 Dishwasher Pump Seal Kit 5/8" OD works by forming a close seal between the pump and motor so that it will not leak and will retain the internal flow. The seal is firmly clamped on the shaft of the pump, keeping it in position. The kit will be mounted directly into the pump assembly becoming part of the dishwasher water circulation system. It is and fits the standard size, which enables it to be installed to substitute damaged seals without the need to engage in a lot of dismantling to keep the dishwasher running.
