The Savory 13902 Potentiometer 500 Ohms is a variable resistor, which varies electrical power by rotating its shaft, which causes an internal wiper to move in a track of conductive substance. This motion changes either the voltage or current level in a circuit to operate other circuit components. It is fitted on control panels or equipment housings, and the shaft is available externally to enable manual adjustment. It was designed to fit into low-resistance wiring. The component is interchangeable in standardized terminals and can be used in other compatible electrical systems either by replacement or new assembly.
