The Ardco 15-15112-0004 Torsion Rod Closer is a system that is used to provide a force that is controlled when a door opens and closes to assist in bringing the door back to the closed position. It works by rotating the rod as the door opens and stored mechanical energy is used to help in the reverse motion. This closer is attached to the top hinge of a door frame. The design is designed to fit into the hinge assembly so that the closer can fit the standard door pivot points during installation.
