The Henny Penny 17437 Fryer Filter Pump assists in moving hot cooking oil through the system by providing a motorized impeller inside the part to provide a consistent suction and pressure. This mechanical action drains grease from the fry pot, pushes it through the filtering medium to clean out debris and pushes the cleaned oil back into the vat. This particular part is installed properly into the base of the fryer unit, often next to the motor unit so that it fits in with the plumbing lines.
