The Garland 1920401 Thermocouple GPD-48/60 is a temperature sensor that is used in commercial cooking equipment that can be used with it to measure and control the heat levels. The thermocouple generates a signal of millivolts, which is a measure of the temperature at the sensor tip that can be utilized by the control system of the appliance to decide whether burners, or heating elements have reached the intended set point.
