The Star Mfg 2V-60142001 Dual Port Gas Valve 120 VAC MKG Series is a gas flow controller that operates by opening and closing its two ports by means of an electrical signal. It is 120 volts AC, and this provides an adjustment of gas flow to the burner assembly. This gas valve is placed in the gas line system of an appliance and is usually located between the gas manifold and the burner section to control and ensure the correct amount of fuel flow is present during operation.
