The Wells 55984 Thermostat senses temperature through its remote bulb and regulates the heating cycle by opening or closing the electrical circuit as temperatures change. The 5/16-inch by 8-1/2-inch sensing bulb, connected by a 72-inch capillary tube, transmits temperature changes to the thermostat for controlled operation. This component is installed inside compatible commercial cooking equipment, with the sensing bulb positioned in the heated area and the thermostat mounted in the control panel.
