Control Boards & Control Panels
Control panels and control boards provide operators with the ability to precisely control the various functions of the appliance, such as temperature, cooking time, and cleaning cycles.
Dishwashers rely on a variety of components, including spray arms, detergent dispensers, and high-temperature rinse cycles. These components are controlled by a complex system of sensors, motors, and valves, which are managed by the dishwasher control panel and control board.
The dishwasher control panel is typically located on the front of the appliance. Iit provides operators with a variety of buttons and knobs that allow them to select the desired wash cycle, adjust the temperature and pressure of the water, and monitor the progress of the cleaning process. Some advanced dishwashers may also include touchscreen displays, which provide operators with even more control over the appliance's functions.
Behind the control panel the dishwasher control boards serve as the "brain" of the appliance. They receive signals from the control panel and use them to activate the various components of the dishwasher. For example, if the operator selects a high-temperature rinse cycle, the control board will activate the dishwasher's heating element, which raises the temperature of the water to the desired level. Similarly, if the dishwasher's sensors detect that the water pressure is too low, the control board may activate the appliance's pump to increase the flow of water.
