The Moffat M234450K Encoder Update Kit works by allowing its encoder parts to record rotational input and convert it to electronic signal to increase control responsiveness. It works with a revised sensing and connection design that provides proper transmission of signal as the control knob is turned. This kit is installed in the control assembly of the appliance, the encoder and associated components are installed in the appropriate locations and connected to the wiring of the system to complete the new interface.
