The Everpure EV3071-19 O-Ring Water Filter aids the filtration process by creating a closed interface that does not allow the water to pass through the system. When the cartridge is fitted, the folds into its groove to form a continuous seal which keeps the flow direction and separation between unfiltered and filtered water. It is fitted within compatible filter heads on the assigned channel between the cartridge and the housing. The component is intended to be replaced regularly and is compatible with certain head and cartridge geometries and is used to ensure the correct operation of the system when cold.
