The Frymaster FM826-0981 Igniter W/Gasket used with natural gas works by creating a spark that lights up the burner, and the heating process starts. The gasket attached provides a better seal between the igniter and the appliance to ensure that there is no leakage of gas when it is in operation. It is installed in the burner section of the fryer, which is compatible with the commercial fryers and is connected to the gas line and electrical system to allow it to be ignited under controlled conditions.
