The sensing bulb and capillary send the movement to the switch mechanism to regulate the flow of power as the temperature varies. This thermostat is fitted in the control area of compatible warming or heating equipment with the sensing element placed close to the source of heat. It has a 24" capillary and a 1/4" by 4" sensing bulb.
