The Hamilton Beach 990035600 Gasket 2-5/8" DIA is used to create a cover on the bottom of an appliance jar or assembly by fitting between the two adjoining surfaces to prevent the escaping of liquid. When parts are tightened, they compress into their groove and remain in contact with the surrounding surfaces. The gasket is designed to be installed in the sealing channel before being installed in the compatible equipment. When installed, it aids in the containment of fluid and leaves the other parts to operate normally.
