The Cuno H1353 Ice Machine Filter Cartridge 0.2 Micron HF40-S has media inside that filters the incoming water as it flows through. The element traps dirt, microbial impurities, cysts, and material that can form scale while allowing treated flow to go on through the passages that are connected. Chlorine-related features are reduced at the water's passing. The captured material remains contained within the filter assembly throughout the operating cycle, preventing it from passing further into the water line. The accumulated particles stay within the filtration media until the cartridge reaches its designated replacement interval as part of routine equipment maintenance.
