The In-Sink-Erator 15194ZZ Rotating Shredder Assembly works by rotating at high velocities to push the plant waste material against the stationary grind ring to properly chop food particles by centrifugal force. This is a mechanical process that breaks solids into a fine slurry that is able to pass through domestic plumbing systems without any obstruction. The component is placed directly over the motor shaft in the grinding chamber, which is the main moving interface of the waste processing. This particular assembly is used to replace the used-out internal discs to provide clearance between the rotating axes and the outer wall again.
