The Manitowoc MAN000009123 (OLD STYLE RSW) Water Inlet Solenoid Valve Kit 50-60Hz 120V is an electromagnetic coil that opens up the internal plunger when triggered by the control board, letting water flow into the ice-making compartment. When a sufficient amount of water has passed through the coil is turned off and a spring closes the plunger halting the flow. This process allows the production of ice continuously and avoids overfilling. It is installed in the water line and it operates in collaboration with the sensors and control circuitry of the system.
