The Pitco PP11104 Fryer O-Ring 1" ID X 1-3/16" OD X 3/32" operates by creating a seal between the mating parts to assist in avoiding the flow of liquids or gases at the points of connection. It operates by compressing a little when it is sitting in its groove forming a flexible barrier that prevents undesirable flow through the joint when it is working. This is inserted in the special sealing groove. It is used as a sealing element in assemblies where secure junctions are to be made. O-ring is popular in commercial foodservice equipment.
