The Champion 108016 Dishwasher O-Ring 1/4" ID X 1/16" Width fits tightly into a groove, where it compresses to ensure that no water and detergent pass between the parts connected. When the operation is underway, the elastomer will deform under pressure and bounce back to shape to ensure that contact is constant as the components cycle. It is special sealing grooves on fittings, valves or connections to wash systems within compatible dishwashers. The ring has an inner cross-section and diameter to fit. Its circular shape allows for the repeated opening and closing of assemblies.
