The Randell RF VLV404 Low Temperature Expansion Valve is used to control the flow of refrigerant in a cooling system by opening or closing according to the pressure and temperature variation. It regulates the quantity of refrigerant going into the evaporator so as to ensure adequate cooling and to avoid overloading of the system. The valve is made to be placed in commercial refrigeration units, and it is mounted directly on the refrigerant line with 1/4" connections to fit in the existing refrigeration system of the appliance.
