The Star Mfg C9-3B82D0181 Indicator Light Red works by switching on when electrical current is applied to pass through the internal element to indicate that the control circuit of the warmer is active. The light is low power consuming to be on when connected to the wiring of the equipment. It is attached to the front panel of warmers or buffet units, where it fits into a 5/16" hole. This red indicator is intended to run at 250 volts and can be regarded as a visible sign of the presence of electricity without interfering with the usual functioning of the warmer in service.
