The Pitco PP10591 Fryer Ferrule 1/4" CCT Brass operates by crushing against tubing, creating a bond in installing into a fitting assembly. Its process involves mechanical compression of the tube exterior over which it is applied to make sure there is alignment and that it closes the connection between components. This is fitted into a compatible commercial cooking equipment, mostly between the fitting nut and the end of the tubing. The construction of the brass is such that it can conform during tightening and stay at the right position, integrity of sealing and constant flow in the unit during operation.
