The Southbend 5162-1 Solenoid Valve 1/8" NPT 120V is a valve that is operated by an electromagnetic coil that is used to regulate the flow of gas opening or closing the valve when it is energized. It is attached to a power supply which causes the plunger to open and close the flow of gas through the system. The valve is designed to be installed inline in a threaded port, and so can be integrated into gas appliances or equipment where a high degree of control over the flow of gas is required.
