The Vulcan Hart 00-010901-00055 Range Spud Orifice is a component of metering fuel that is used in commercial gas compatible. It controls the amount of gas that reaches the burner by providing an opening of the right size to control the amount of fuel that is provided during combustion. The spud is installed between the gas supply and the burner tube in the internal manifold of the range to maintain the proper ratio of gas to air to maintain the range in stable flame operation during normal operation.
