The Vulcan Hart 00-715048 D-Stem Gas Thermostat functions is a control mechanism which precisely manages gas-fired cooking appliances temperatures. The thermostat functions by using a bimetallic element which reacts to temperature variations to precisely manage burner gas flow. The bimetallic element expands with rising temperature to stepwise reduce gas flow which maintains the target temperature. The element contracts when the temperature decreases which enables greater gas flow to improve heat output. The precise temperature control function of Vulcan Hart gas-fired appliances improves both their cooking consistency and energy efficiency and extends their operational durability.
