The Champion 109069 Thermostat W/Stuff Box 1/2" MPT operates through the process of surrounding a shaft or probe of a thermostat to minimize leakage zones through which it penetrates a wall or fitting. Its stuffing material is squeezed inside and forms a tight seal without completely restricting the movement of the thermostat component. This stuff box is installed where the thermostat is entered into a tank, a pipe, or a housing within the heating or equipment. The repeated tightening and loosening of its metal body is assisted during the service.
