The Star Mfg 2I-05-07-0013 Screw-On Rubber Boot to 1/2" Toggle Switches is used by screwing it onto a toggle switch body to cover the actuator stem and protect it against dust, light moisture, and debris. The rubber substance is elastic and when fitted, it is stretched a little, creating a tight wrap around the switch opening. The position of this boot is right over the toggle switch on the control panel or equipment housing. The switch is mounted and then screwed on the outside. The flexible boot allows access to the actuator.
