The Garland 4601578 Range Flame Failure Valve Assembly operates by regulating the flow of gas to the burner and automatically closing it in case the flame is destroyed. It operates with a thermocouple and valve system that senses the existence of a flame and only allows gas flow when it is sure that the ignition has been detected. This assembly is installed in the gas supply system of the range and between the burner and the gas inlet and it regulates and provides safety when cooking.
