The Groen 099988 NAT/LP Gas Safety Valve regulates fuel passage through an electrically actuated shutoff mechanism. A 24V signal energizes the internal coil, shifting the valve element to allow flow when the control circuit signals for fuel. If the electrical signal is interrupted, the internal mechanism moves toward its closed state, stopping passage through the body. The 1/2" connection interfaces with the adjoining line, while the supplied 1/2" X 3/8" bushing provides the dimensional transition required at the secondary connection point.
