The Stero 0A-571194 Dishwasher Drain Waste Valve Flange Gasket is designed to provide a seal between the waste valve flange and the surrounding appliance parts to help in the prevention of leaks during the drain cycle. When it is installed, it becomes slightly compressed to create a barrier that prevents water from escaping at the point of connection. This gasket is fitted at the point of contact between the waste valve assembly and the drainage system of the dishwasher. The gasket is usually applicable in commercial dishwasher machines where tight seals are needed around drain holes.
