The Imperial 1042 Cheesemelter Infrared Burner Large is a gas-fueled burner that creates infrared heat by converting fuel into radiant energy and directs it up for broiling and cheesemelting. It radiates evenly over the 4" X 27" surface area, and is lit by a compatible gas control system, creating a focused heating area to provide a controlled cooking response throughout the appliance chamber. It is placed above the cooking cavity of commercial systems, in alignment with the burner assembly, allowing for food items to be exposed to the overhead infrared heat.
