The Montague 2-7 Cheesemelter Infrared Burner is a heat generator that applies thermal radiation to transfer warmth to the food surfaces to melt and brown them quickly. The gas passes through the burner ports, where it rises up to produce a uniform pattern of infrared over the heating area. This element is fitted within the appliance assembly on the cooking rack. It is made to assist in even distribution of flames in operation. The burner is incorporated with existing gas manifolds and control systems. The unit aids in controlled power application in the process of finishing and melting.
