The Kason 10533D00004 Door Latch W/Strike Chrome Edgemount is a door lock that fits into the strike plate to secure the door when it is closed. The opening and closing are smooth since the latch can be retracted by pressing the handle or lever. It is to be mounted at the edge of the doors to fit with the frame so that the latch can fit. Its chrome finish gives it a smooth surface, and the small size of the product can be fitted in commercial and residential doors where an edgemount latch is needed.
