The Hobart 12038 Infrared Burner converts supplied gas into radiant heat through its steel and ceramic burner surface, producing infrared energy for the cooking area. Fuel flows into the burner cavity, and passes through the internal ports where combustion heats the ceramic section and generates radiant output. The assembly measures 6-5/8" x 5-1/8" and fits within the designated burner compartment beneath or behind the cooking surface. It is used in compatible commercial cooking equipment where infrared heating is required for broiling, grilling, finishing, or other high-temperature food preparation applications.
